⚠️ I was gonna post about this last night but figured that waiting until tomorrow would garner more attention.
Let's talk about: this!
These past 3 years of development were ANYTHING other than easy. Life gets in the way, we've lost, scrapped, and remade a lot more content than any of us wanted to which ended up holding progress back the most. The last thing we wanted to do was give up, though.
That's why since the remaining 0.5 tasks have been stagnant for a while we thought it would be a good idea to give people a taste of the story earlier than intended by creating a demo! This would only include songs from Week 1, and the other songs teased will be playable in 0.5.
Both the demo and 0.5 would ideally be coming out around spring this year, as im setting deadlines for the remaining work so things dont remain as stagnant as they have been. This doesn't mean a release date has been decided, however! That induces crunch. Crunch bad.
After we push 0.5 out, everything should become a lot more streamlined to the point where updates shouldnt take 3 entire-ass years to make. One of our coders is even making a new engine that will make our ideas infinitely easier to execute, and we'll be switching to it when 1.0 is in progress.
Work for future updates has been casually starting in the meantime to give devs stuff to do, but the main focus is working on what we need to finally get something published.
