Hey guys, it's static. Please spare a moment of your time! One of our main devs, Sieg, is unable to use his computer due to it completely breaking on him from old age. Without a computer, his living situation is actively threatened.

We all depend on eachother for this mod, so anything happening to Sieg will greatly affect the mods progress. We urge all of you to pitch in what you can, and as thanks, we'll even do something for you guys in return, like working on complete gameplay teasers for never before seen DDE songs, and including them in future builds or hotfixes if people act quickly enough. We can even do additional things like put on livestreams, make assets publicly available, etc. We owe a lot to Sieg, and we want him to be safe.

Today marks ONE MONTH since the DDE episode 1 demo! Want to know how we're doing with the next update? Take a look for yourself!

This next update will be considered the first major release- thus it will be renamed to 1.0 rather than '0.5'. It will contain the other half of episode 1 along with a group of "Upcoming Songs" that have all been publicly teased- now finally playable!

Upcoming songs are freeplay songs that will later become involved in the story in future episodes. Essentially, they're playable teasers! Along with all that fun stuff there's going to be a handful of extras to dig into as well! We're excited to see them be discovered.

We hope you stay tuned as we're aiming for an April release, and things are on track for that to be feasible. we're gonna take some more time with playtesting as well so the experience runs as smoothly as possible!

The feedback we've recieved from the community has been great and we're so excited to move onto brand new concepts, songs and characters with more future updates... we all hope you stay tuned and stay patient!

⚠️ I was gonna post about this last night but figured that waiting until tomorrow would garner more attention.

Let's talk about: this!

These past 3 years of development were ANYTHING other than easy. Life gets in the way, we've lost, scrapped, and remade a lot more content than any of us wanted to which ended up holding progress back the most. The last thing we wanted to do was give up, though.

That's why since the remaining 0.5 tasks have been stagnant for a while we thought it would be a good idea to give people a taste of the story earlier than intended by creating a demo! This would only include songs from Week 1, and the other songs teased will be playable in 0.5.

Both the demo and 0.5 would ideally be coming out around spring this year, as im setting deadlines for the remaining work so things dont remain as stagnant as they have been. This doesn't mean a release date has been decided, however! That induces crunch. Crunch bad.

After we push 0.5 out, everything should become a lot more streamlined to the point where updates shouldnt take 3 entire-ass years to make. One of our coders is even making a new engine that will make our ideas infinitely easier to execute, and we'll be switching to it when 1.0 is in progress.

Work for future updates has been casually starting in the meantime to give devs stuff to do, but the main focus is working on what we need to finally get something published.

I hope that gives the people waiting some peace of mind..!

⚠️ Now for something that isnt songs! This has been cooking for a WHILE but is honestly extremely worth the effort and time: the dialogue editor!! with the addition of some actual ingame lines. Dialogue I would say is the 2nd most important aspect of the mod, so having a tool that makes it extremely easy to implement is a dream come true! Massive applause to @MayoOddToSee who coded this ENTIRE thing. More credits below!
